Chinesische Akteure manipulieren gezielt UNO-Institutionen, indem sie mit staatsnahen Pseudo-NGOs die Arbeit der Dissidenten behindern und unterwandern.

[Ein internationales Recherche-Team] hat 106 chinesische Organisationen genauer unter die Lupe genommen, die bei der UNO akkreditiert sind. Mehr als die Hälfte davon sind von der chinesischen Regierung eingerichtet worden oder haben enge Verbindungen zur Führung. In 46 angeblichen NGOs sitzen sogar Mitglieder der Kommunistischen Partei oder der Regierung in einer leitenden Funktion. Laut UNO-Regeln dürfen sie gar nicht als NGOs gelten – doch sie sind akkreditiert und sprechen im Namen der Zivilgesellschaft.

Inzwischen hat selbst der auf die Schweizer Handelsinteressen bedachte [Schweizer] Bundesrat klargestellt, dass «auch in der Schweiz Angehörige der tibetischen und uigurischen Gemeinschaften von Akteuren der Volksrepublik China überwacht, bedroht (...) und in Einzelfällen unter Druck gesetzt werden». Das steht in einem über 30-seitigen Bericht, mit dem der Bundesrat vor zwei Monaten das Vorgehen Chinas klar verurteilte.

Es gebe auch Berichte, wonach Fotos an Familienangehörige in der Volksrepublik China weitergeleitet worden seien, «damit diese von ihren hier lebenden Verwandten verlangen (...), ihren Aktivismus zu beenden», schreibt der Bundesrat in seiner Publikation vom Februar. Betroffene berichteten auch, dass Familienangehörige «aufgrund solcher Bilder aus der Schweiz zwei Tage nach der Demonstration verhaftet wurden und seither verschwunden sind». Solche Repressionsmethoden stellten «eine erhebliche Bedrohung der Souveränität der Schweiz dar» und griffen «zum Teil gravierend in die schweizerische Rechtsordnung» ein.

Die Folge ist eine Einschränkung der Grundrechte: «Es gibt viele Tibeterinnen, die nicht an Kundgebungen teilnehmen, weil sie ihre Familie nicht in Gefahr bringen wollen», sagt Jampa Samdho von der Gesellschaft Schweizerisch-Tibetische Freundschaft.

Die chinesische Botschaft in Bern liess eine Anfrage zu dieser Recherche unbeantwortet. Im Februar versicherte sie als Reaktion auf den Bericht des Bundesrats, dass «China niemals irgendeine Form der Bedrohung oder Überwachung chinesischer Staatsangehöriger im Ausland ausgeübt hat und auch niemals ausüben wird». Die anonymen Anrufe sind laut China lediglich «Spam».

Allerdings gibt es sogar ein offizielles Dokument, das die problematischen Aktivitäten Chinas in der Schweiz belegt. Darauf gestossen ist Ralph Weber, Professor am Europainstitut in Basel. Er hat einen Expertenbericht verfasst, der dem Bundesrat als Grundlage für seine Einschätzungen diente.

Darin beschreibt Weber den Inhalt des Dokuments, das von der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas verfasst wurde. Demnach hat bereits vor einigen Jahren ein in der Schweiz offiziell als Konsul akkreditierter Mann die tibetische Gemeinschaft erfolgreich infiltriert. Der Parteibericht lobt die «effektive Arbeit» des Beamten, der «die Tür für die Arbeit mit den Auslandtibetern in Europa» geöffnet und «eine solide Grundlage für die künftige Arbeit» gelegt habe.

Denunciations are rapidly mounting in Europe of the ceasefire that factions within Washington are trying to broker to end the three-year NATO-Russia war in Ukraine. Behind these attacks lie bitter rivalries between Washington and the European imperialist powers over the plunder of Ukraine and more broadly over how to divide the world economy between them amid the accelerating global trade war over Trump’s tariffs.

The proposal imposes on Ukraine a US-Ukrainian “economic cooperation/minerals agreement,” expected to allow Washington to pocket a staggering $500 billion in Ukrainian revenue. It also demands US control of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is currently inoperative in Russian-held territory. In exchange, it would remove economic sanctions imposed on Russia since the 2014 NATO-backed putsch in Kiev and pledge “US-Russian cooperation” on energy.

The ceasefire would not prepare a lasting peace but would freeze a war that has claimed millions of Ukrainian and Russian lives. It aims primarily to recoup the vast sums of money Washington spent on a war in Ukraine that the NATO imperialist powers lost. It does so firstly at the expense of the Ukrainian people, whose country has been shattered and whose revenues are to be looted by US imperialism. But it is also at the expense of the European imperialist powers’ ambitions to seize a large part of the mineral resources and other booty to be plundered from Ukraine.

I'm a new Linux user, so far so good, but one thing that grinds my gears is that if I log in fairly quickly after a boot, I have to wait ~5-10 seconds before I can start using my BT mouse (Logitech MX Master 3S).

Is there a way to speed up the initialisation of Bluetooth on Linux so that it starts immediately, like the USB drivers do?

Yup, assuming you're using systemd as you innit system. The following will change it so your bucktooth will initialise before the GUI.

sudo systemctl edit bluetooth.service

change:

[Unit]

Before=graphical.target

And from myself, I'll add this for the other noobs out there: when you run that command you'll see something like this:

I got a HDD dock from startech.com. It works great and does everything I need. The problem is it has the brightest goddamn blue LED I have ever seen. It is so unnecessarily bright. My eyes hurt looking in the same direction as it. What the fuck should I do? Return it? De solder the stupid ass LED? It works great aside from this one issue.

Edit: I opened the thing and drew with sharpie on the LED. It's bearable to look at now.

It's cute for me.

ich hoffe ihr hattet einen guten Start in die Woche.

Aktuell ließt man ja sehr viel über biometrische Überwachung in der Öffentlichkeit durch z.B. Sicherheitsbehörden. Ungleich einer Vorratsdatenspeicherung, wo es noch möglich wäre zur Verschleierung ein VPN zu nutzen, ist es im "echten Leben" derzeit nicht so einfach möglich dieser neuen Form der Überwachung zuverlässig zu entgehen.

Doch solch aggressives Vorgehen, wird vermutlich so manche schlauen und kreative Geister anregen, sich etwas auszudenken.

Ich finde das ziemlich interessant und könnte mir einen kompletten Modezweig vorstellen, der darauf abzielt, den Bürgern ihre Anonymität in der Öffentlichkeit (zumindest in weiten Teilen) zurückzugeben: Maßgefertigte und täuschend echte Gesichtsmasken, "Kamera-verwirrende" Muster auf der Kleidung etc..

Was haltet ihr davon? Ist es sinnvoll oder paranoid? Kennt ihr vielleicht noch mehr solcher Shops? Haut mal raus!

Moin. Mein Gasthund frisst mir gerade die Zeit weg. Zumindest bei der Arbeit kann der Chef sich bei gutem Wetter auch ganz uneigennützig kümmern (und draußen seine Fußballkünste zeigen).
