You're right. In fact, in the place there are many more eroded stones with shapes that recall strange and ancient beings (or parts of them). Although the pareidolia will have a lot of the blame 😅

Yes, it is the same kind if stone and the same “sculptor”

You're right. It was taken a day before but it gave me an error when uploading the photo (it happens to me with some frequency in Lemmy lately) and it stayed in the pending queue

I used an iPhone XS

It is a bad quality photo taken from a mobile. The circle that surrounds the moon is formed by the refraction of the moonlight when passing through ice crystals present in the atmosphere. At times surrounding the moon itself you can see a circular rainbow (they all are, but we see only half of the solar rainbow). This phenomenon is called a lunar halo.

Hi!

nice photo 👏🏻 I have just downloaded Siril, and I want to do something similar to this, but I have two Siril related questions because I think they are a lot of photos to stack and I am not sure my Macbook can do the job:

  • How long did it take you to process it?
  • Did you use a "normal" laptop or do you have a powerful graphic card?

Thanks in advance!

Tonight, if the clouds allow me, I wanted to take pictures with my Skywatcher Star Adventurer mini. As I'm going to set up a small telescope (a Celestron C90) I need a very good alignment to the Polar so that I don't have any traces left. Tips to make an alignment as accurate as possible? Thank you

I don't use conda actually (I did in the past), but I think you could try:

conda shell.bash activate project0

You must see the paths and config used to activate the environment. Check all is fine.

What command did you use to activate project0?

My first photo with a telescope. It is not a incredible shoot but I am very proud of it.

Yes, you can. Python has Email package to manage email through STMP protocol. I use it daily in my scripts. Attached link is a tutorial of Real Python:

https://realpython.com/python-send-email/

I have developed a project in #python to follow #RSS feeds and send an email with daily news. It is more an excuse to practice python, git and design patterns than a real project, but feel free to use it if you find it useful. Suggestions, opinions and feedback are welcome.
