No, some people just straight up don't enjoy being negatively surprised.

I personally even dislike well done jumpscares, but it is made worse that in many horror flicks there isn't really a good buildup to them because they want to "get" you when you don't expect them.

To come back to comedy, people don't want the punchline of a joke to be something they loathe, they want to look forward to it.
People want to be scared, they don't want to be shocked or surprised (talking about people that don't like jumpscares, off course those who do also have every right to enjoy them).

The souls games, and Bloodborne in particular, can be hard and frustrating.

But with the right mindset everyone can beat them.
You don't need perfect reflexes, you don't need to learn super complex combos.

You do need to realize that (at least in the beginning) you are not super strong compared to the enemies you encounter.

If you start the game for the first time and run into a big group of enemies, you WILL die.
Then you learn to not do that and try to aggro one enemy at a time.

This goes for many more situations.
At first you won't know how to approach some of them and you will die. And sometimes you will die twice and lose your hard earned resources.

This can be frustrating. And sometimes the camera was a bit buggy or your dodge didn't work the way you thought it would.
But most of the time you could have done something different to avoid death.

And FromSoftware is quite good in giving hints what that is.
If you die in similar situations, there is usually a way to approach them differently.
That also goes for bosses.

And then there is the big open secret, you can simply level a bit more than absolutely necessarily to make souls games significantly easier.

If you only need to hit the boss 20 times instead of 30 and you survive his 3 hit combo and can heal back up instead of dropping dead after 2 hits it becomes way more manageable.

This is not necessary, people beat those games with base level running around naked with giant clubs, but not in their first run.
Use items, upgrade your weapon, level up your character, and the game will not be so grim.

But be prepared to not be able to rush through all the content without being challenged or using your brain.

Oh and if you choose to play Bloodborne (my first souls like and still one of my favorite games of all times) just enjoy yourself.
Every weapon is 100% viable.
For the first run the Saw Cleaver (R1-L1-L1) and the Axe (long R2 in two-handed mode) are slightly easier than the pimp cane, but again, every weapon is viable.

Just have fun with it, the games are classics for a reason.

How can it be a thing to just make a non profit organization into a for profit organization?

I thought non profits have benefits when it comes to taxation and regulations.
Why can it be allowed that the new for profit organization can just reap the rewards from those benefits that it used to grow into what it is now?

That seems to me like it should be plainly illegal.

The people that

bitch about it

probably aren't the same people buying remastered games on release.

Sellner is a straight up old school nazi btw.

Not like neo right pussy fascism like Trump/Bannon/Stone, but like original austrian formula full on nazi.

Don't even bother.

That person is so obviously full of shit, picking the most obvious and easiest strawman to beat on.

I am vegetarian and know many vegans.
None would even think about torturing our pets to death with food that is not edible for the specific species.

On the other hands I have heard multiple omnivores tell stories about how they "know" crazy vegans that would do shit like that.

There are some crazies (like in any big group of people) and I can't know if OP accidentally ran into one, but the way they generalize makes it clear to me that they are the one with issues, not every run of the mill vegan.

Vegans usually care a great deal about animals, including carnivorous animals. So fuck them right back for spewing their indiscriminate hatred.

What are you talking about?

This strip is not even about the actual Bolsheviks.
Everything the "Bolsheviks" say is boilerplate stuff a modern democrat (or any reasonable person for that matter) would want.

The whole joke is that the republicans frame super normal stuff as communism.

Did you really not get that?

When someone goes low, you sprawl on them.

No but they can make amazing sauces.

Wouldn't even call it unusable as is.

I am pretty sure you could cook bacon or similarly fatty stuff in there right away.
Then again there are people that see cooking bacon as a legitimate form of seasoning a pan.
