I don't quite understand what you meant. Can you expand?

not sure I follow your comment. Joplin Server would be relevant when you sync your notes through them, no? Or how does it affect the app?

Here's the pdf to the 4th edition.

What improvements did you make based on the book? I'm skimming through it.

Out of 19 people elected, 6 mentioned moderation and/or trust & safety in their platform goals. 4 people mentioned ecosystem diversity. The remaining people mentioned a variety of goals.

When I saw these results, I was was confused why some listed no pronouns at all. When I inquired about it, I was told that it was optional.

Your concern about cisnormativity is totally valid, but I see little correlation with the mod tools? What improvements could be done on the technical side?

ETA: thanks for sharing.

Have not contributed enough to Wikipedia! I'd like to implement this on links I come across.

How does one get an Archive link for a specific date and website? I tried snooping around but am not familiar

this is and looks awesome! quite polished. the audio-only mode is fantastic, didn't even know i needed that.

side-question: being not quite familiar with hosting... is the linked instance the one you set up, but with the GitHub code people can make their own?

wow. so... this question sent me down a fun rabbit hole! thanks for posting/asking :-)

these are The Scenes I stumbled upon while hopping through TV channels, that then ended up being among my favorite shows:

  • UtopiaThe show is crude, and the soundtrack reinforces that impending sense of threat. This scene encapsulates that: sure... it's just two strangers talking at the airport.

  • Miraculous LadybugI didn't know it at the moment, but this interaction is quite meaningful for both characters and fitting the overall show's theme of compassion and community: up until that point, the blonde had been setup as an antagonist but decides to own her mistakes and be an ally.

onto the spirit of the question: for a singular scene that stands out from any show:

i think spoilers in Lemmy are styled like this:

the spoiler Title

spoiler [the spoiler Title] [text to hide] :::

ETA: wow, that scene hit hard. i didn't particularly remember that, but devoid of context stands as a neat 4min short. why did you pick that scene?

ETA2: thanks for indirectly guiding us to invidious. seems fantastic!

It's the predicament between choosing convenience or privacy. Apart from local businesses, what other searches have you found are improved by them having your data? For me, it's money exchange rates.

(What alternatives do you use for email and storage, though?)

they do have their PRE token: for users (per search), for node operators (as reward), and for advertisers (to stake words).

crypto aside, the results are decent and different, but still quite similar to what google would give you. personally, an option with consistently better results has been Kagi.

though if Presearch soon implements their own index, i might take that back...

all the best for your game! creating something for oneself is really special.

how has your experience been with GB studio so far? a drag-and-drop seems ideal to then extrapolate to code. i've been trying Godot, without any specific project in mind. Even though it's obscure to familiarize with the UI, it's fun to inadvertently break the physics.

have you heard about game jams before? if that's your cup of tea, Theresa this one i recently stumpled upon and might get in.

Yeah, some highlight text as body of this post would be beneficial.
