I’ll always remember when I accidentally bent a CPU pin and had to manually straighten it with pliers… it was terrifying 😭 (but that CPU is still working perfectly in my computer 7 years later !)

Is the hypothesis that Windows being constantly broken forces you to learn how to fix it ? Because that’s kinda what happened to me 😆

That’s fair, but dogs don’t tend to care much about not walking through flower beds 😆 So, I would probably not get ticks myself, but they probably would.
No joke, I genuinely considered switching to geology after I learnt there were only 3 people in that major and they spent most of their time on field trips collecting rocks…
The only concern I’d have is ticks. Is there a way to get rid of them without going crazy with bug spray or destroying the plants ?

If I had to do this myself, I would probably choose NixOS, so that I could write up a config on one of the PCs, and the deploy the exact same thing on every single one and be certain the build is perfectly reproduced.
Though I’m sure there are similar tools for other distros, but that’s what I know.
