I mean I would appreciate it if it were federally legal. I live in a state where its legal but I'm employed by the federal government so I can't use it without putting my job at risk.

You're printin experience within Linix is going to entirely depend on which printer you have. Some work out of the box immediately others take hours to get working and digging through forums looking for drivers.

Yep, I was also a young idiot that voted 3rd party in a swing state in 2016. Regretted it ever since. I admit that I put the way I viewed myself and what my values were were more important to me than anything. What I did was selfish and I'm fully on the Harris bandwagon.

Military power is still important as well. For example, the US military spending is probably the only reason Ukraine is still a country.

I mean it all depends on why you want to hide it. I don't care about subpoenas. I care about spammers. First time I signed up for a domain i didn't realize you went on a public list, and it reached the point where I was getting a phone call every 20 mins or so.

yep, he will only do something if he thinks it will benefit himself. It's who he is.

Ya I was worried this was going to affect something like OpenWRT and a lot of shit was about to get fucked over. CUPS? 99.9% of people are gonna have that port closed on their router. Sure this is important to fix but a 9.9? Nah

Looks like its out there now:

https://www.evilsocket.net/2024/09/26/Attacking-UNIX-systems-via-CUPS-Part-I/

Short version (correct me if I'm wrong):

If you have CUPS service cups-browsed on your machine and you for some reason exposed that to the internet (port 631), you are about to get pwned.

EDIT: It also requires the user to print to the malicious fake printer.

Yesterday my 5 year old came home from Kindergarten and when asked about his day he said "We did a drill where we hid in our room because someone might come in and kill us".

This is the world we live in now.
