Right but the higher concentration of complex sugars means you need longer to get to the desired attenuation, making longer secondary fermentation almost part of the style. Beyond that, most stout gets bottle or keg conditioned for several more weeks, as this really aids in development of the desired complexity. I used to work at a brewery and did BJCP training and "young" stouts tend to have a very obvious flavor profile most people don't like. With other ales, we would turn around a batch from grain to cans to sales in about three weeks, but the stouts were more like a 2 month process at minimum. Our best selling gingerbread stout basically took all year to brew. Most breweries treat stouts like the special occasion they are because doing so produces something incredible, and rushing it produces something mediocre.

Stouts are expensive to brew and take a long time, which is why you don't see breweries make more of them. Also, they tend to brew what sells.

I don't understand why people seem to think it is a fall seasonal beer.

Are you really arguing that having no actual responsibilities is the same as having the weight of a collapsing world on your shoulders? Having been a kid, then a teenager, and now an adult, I can't even comprehend how someone can seriously make this argument.

Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely zero chance I'd sign up for Elon Musk's shit, but this kind of augmentation is very likely to be cellphone tech levels of disruptive - you'll wake up one day and it's going to be ubiquitous. Nerve interfaces for prosthetics are already becoming commonplace, and cochlear implants even more so. I truly expect that all of this "mystery" is going to be uncovered quite quick once commercial viability is demonstrated.

Why not? Transhumanism is cool. It would take a lot of convincing for me to be sure that it is safe, but I also roll the dice every time I drive to work or take a pill so whatever.

And playing music!

For me the whole point of security cameras is real time notifications and cloud infrastructure. Having videos of someone robbing my house after the fact is a distant second motivation. Also, if officer Barbrady kicks down my door and violates my rights, he's much more likely to get my NAS than some random docker on a random AWS colo.

SAO is the worst fucking offender. The first half of the first season is top tier, but then the fairy shit is almost unwatchable. And then they keep going back to the awful fucking fairy world in every sequel. It almost felt like it was done out of spite.

ChatGPT, write me something edgy involving transcendentalism and IPA

IPAs aren't really seasonal? I always associate fall with Marzen style lagers for Oktoberfest, and big winter warmers like barleywine and sweet stouts.
