I'm usually all about treating everyone as equally as possible, but I think if you're talking about something specific to the "race" (say now, how black women's hair has to be styled differently due to physical differences) then it's acceptable to mention "race"

If you're looking at some kind of demographic, it's also all right to mention it. Idk if it's true that conservative white dudes like gay/trans porn more than anyone else, but I think it's ok to mention that. Especially since the consumption of gay/trans porn on it's own isn't necessarily a negative (unless there's anything non-consential going on ir someone is underage). It's more the hypocracy of it all that gets peeps riled up

(I hate the term "race" which is why I shoved it in between quotation marks)

I'm somewhat similar, but I'm also extremely easily distracted. I can't hold multiple things in my mind for longer than two or three steps ahead. And then anything that comes along to break me out of it and I'm just done. It's super frustrating, especially because I have the kind of mind that bounces different perspectives around all the time. It's like I just want to reach out and grab a thought to think it through thouroughly before I get to the next but... nope

I just need to comment how annoying this paragraph is:

"Unlike California, Texas, and Arizona — which have also been used as a testing ground for driverless cars — have passed laws holding companies who operate autonomous vehicles responsible for any driving infractions."

Should be written: Texas and Arizona, unlike California, have passed laws holding companies who operate autonomous vehicles responsible for any driving infractions. All three states have been used as testing grounds for driverless cars."

Right? It's one of the better parts of growing older

I haven't had it for years and I don't miss it at all, either. Only social media I use is Lemmy and Youtube

Damn. Well, I hope it's something as simple and easily fixed at least!

Random question, but do hot showers help? I noticed a while back that you mentioned weed on some comment or other. I once lived with this family who had a woman in her late 50's who was a chronic (and I mean CHRONIC) user. She was struggling with nausea that was only alieviated by hot showers (idk why she told me this we weren't close). Turns out there's a condition:

I'm actually worried about you, and your dry-heaving. Lemmy wouldn't be the same without you so don't die

Not neccessarily. I once knew a cat who would suckle on her paw-pad. Just one of them. It was so adorable. She was properly weaned when (boyfriend at the time) got her. (I was there, met the owner of the mother and other kittens). Only annoying thing is that sometimes her paw was wet when she stood on us

I have one and it's exquisite. My husband had originally proposed with a dull, heart-shaped blood-diamond that cost him about 10k. I think he could tell that I didn't like it, and told me it could be returned.

I felt bad for not liking the first, but worse about the thought of some poor lil kid digging it up in Africa. We found a synthetic diamond that is PERFECT and glitters like crazy. I'm extremely happy with my synthetic diamond ring. It's the prettiest piece of jewelry that I've ever owned. Highly recommended
