The development complexities of this would be insane. Plus modern Apple uses ARM chips.which doesn't help since most Linux users (desktop and server) are on x86.

Linux isn't the best for every usecase, but its good enough for mine. Plus, the community around Linux is actually nice outside of the strange elitism here and there

Basically websites would link to each other in the old internet, to create a "ring" of sorts. It mostly functioned as an algorithm of sorts, without actually being an algorithm.
