I use regular firefox with a hardened config, and for mobile I use the Mull browser(available on F-droid). It's a privacy focused firefox port made by the DivestOS team, which is my mobile OS of choice.

What makes you say "never has been"? This is obviously shitty but I remember that maybe 10 years ago they had more affordable pricing for the less fortunate who couldn't buy new clothes.

Mastodon is better because it's federated. I'd never heard of bluesky but I just looked it up(no account even) and it appears that you are correct, it is filled with anime porn.

I haven't tried yet with my grandparents, but I will next time I see them. I have tried with my dad but he wasn't much of a fan of it and preferred MacOS. My mom uses a chromebook and it suits her well enough, so I won't try to budge her.

This is true. I have a completely broken arch linux install right now, wine doesn't work. Only games I play are OpenTTD and Aisleriot Solitaire on my laptop.

I like the concept, maybe kids will be more incentivized to wake up for school, but for 100 dollars you couldn't at least make it a proper circular screen? This is just like the switch: A good product but outdated hardware.

Not a podcast but I enjoy watching 20v1s on youtube.

If I feel like it, I might use DD to clone my drive and put in on a hard drive. Usually I don't back up, though.
