Damn you are stupid.

You went on and on about this, and it wasn’t remotely what he said.

LOL, we have the receipts even though your post was deleted. Go back to church, you’ll be safer there.

broad of thought

Yet somehow unable to understand the difference between people ignorant of undiscovered facts making up theories to explain things (or “pulling it out of their asses”), and being dumb.

Makes sense, it was stupid. If not at first, certainly after you edited it.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

LOL, ok, sure thing.

He didn’t say they were dumb, he described a situation where people ignorant of facts that hadn’t been discovered by science yet had to do their best by making up something that makes enough sense. Which is totally pulling it out of your ass, ie coming up with a theory, which could be completely wrong. Which we don’t have to do when we have more information to work with.

If you don’t understand this, then you are dumb.

edit: seriously, the best experts in deep space studies are totally pulling things out of their asses right now to fill in things they don’t understand, until they get more data. It’s not like this is unusual.

Sure, this post no longer belongs in this community, it is definitely stupid now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago (2 children)

That’s not what he said, that was your interpretation, which ironically is a great example of being wrong.

“Brave defenders of the truth.”

Says the guy who edited his post down to barely nothing but an insult.

Based on the contents of this thread, you aren’t aware enough of fallacy to speak like an authority on it.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago (4 children)

Lacking information and drawing a wrong conclusion is just ignorance. Being presented with evidence that contradicts your self-spun interpretation, and refusing to acknowledge or consider that you’re wrong is being dumb.

Stick the examples I offered.

No. You can accept my response as an example of groupthink being completely wrong.
