Some populations of orcas know how to hunt in land. Yep. That exactly.

It's something they learn and teach each other.

The most famous of those groups lives far away from any moose. But I don't know if there's any small group near them.

They eat much smaller animals in "small" bites. I'd expect they bite all the parts of the moose they like and leave whatever else there.

He literally promised to create concentration camps.

He is also a known liar, and I personally believe he'll deliver that one partially to a small ratio that is still horrible but too small to count as the promise. But I can't really fault people from fearing it's not a lie.

Well, this is as much as they deserve.

Weirdly, it depends on how honest Trump is.

If he forgets about everything he talked at any part of the campaign, and just decide to maximize his tranquility during his term, not as bad as if he decides to keep his promises.

This is way, way less crazy. It doesn't even compare.

Is this the inspiration for Dr. Strangelove?

I know stories about a scientists that made a "weapon vs. delivery method" table, where the delivery method first would grow and grow, then it started to shrink until it became "backyard" because it made no difference where the weapon exploded. I have no idea if those were related, and how often people came to that conclusion that "hey, if we increase our bombs just this much, they don't need to be bombs anymore".

Personally, I only ever remember seeing that meme for destructive activities.

But people do use that "I sense it's afraid" one very badly once in a while. And yeah, people do almost always complain.

electric cars don’t fit into the Republican worldview Trump champions

I keep remembering about that day in 2020 when before it the WHO and a lot of the press in a lot of the world kept saying that people shouldn't wear masks before there was no evidence that them worked, and Trump and followers kept insisting that people use masks, even passing designs around. Then an article was published showing they work, and the next day both sides had always have the opposite opinion.

Don't bet on predicting that kind of thing.

I remember that DS9's 2024 being "democratic" (as in, working citizens voted).

If I remember it right, you used the name of the people that used the name of the people that claimed that.

One of the many places that claim to be the real descendant of the Roman Empire.

As a developer that learned it once, a long time ago, naturally I sign to the pledge...

I have some doubts if I should mark it NSFW.

All those student protests on the US seem to be about stopping their universities from supporting the Israel government. But supporting a foreign government is not a normal thing for a university to do, why do they do it?

Is there some educational or research resource they get?
