The entire point of a web browser is to allow scum to:

  • endlessly throw loginwalls and paywalls at us

  • load dodgy third party sites libraries

  • insisting on kyc as an act to show and display continuous acts of compliance

So not surprising the linked site has either a login or paywall.

Forcing a phone number is kyc. kyc is obnoxious.

The other suggestions aren't suggestions at all. They are obsoleted by searx.space

DDG ... obsolete startpage.com ... obsolete

Browsers have default search engines. Curse everytime, DDG is accidentally queried.

DDG is a curse word!

Any centralized site, with privacy claims, is treated as lying thru their teeth. Front run future news.

then someone with much more talent can step up, rename the plugin, and carry on.

The challenge is choosing the next maintainer user handle.

Good choice?

Wait! So the author bows his head, says hey great guys u win. Watch i complied.

Leans over to the stranger sitting next to him and says, hold my beer.

In the same heartbeat, creates another git acnt, exact same commit history. And carries on. Some other author, totally not the same guy but oddly the same pgp public key announces they've taken over and here are the new urls.

i call that mission accomplished

this comment thread is like fight Money Mcbags and go bankrupt for our entertainment and for the LOLs and feelz good?

Or we can just post the new urls and pretend it's a new maintainer, with the handle lawyerdisappointed

Putin should take a tour of adjacent countries. Dare them to blind.

No adjacent country would declare war by arresting a visiting head of state.

No country became a country by having that level of lack of strategy. Simply does not exist.

These judges also don't live or conduct trade, especially with their neighbors being a global military power.

So these judges lack skin in the game. Asking Mongolia to arrest the leader of a neighboring country is the same as declaring war.

The media screaming they must do it, speaks volumes about their lack of IQ.

A FOSS app for digital payments, must have a company front to sign deals with country retail store chains. Although customer kyc can be avoided, the payments from the front company to retail chains would be thru a corporate structure.

... maybe convenience is the wrong path

The advantages of PoW crypto, over digital (and PoS), it's possible to force between seller and buyer:

  • communication with end-to-end encryption
  • privacy oriented marketplaces

With the goal of fostering our own private communities. Over time, might spawn a sub-culture, identity, and ultimately people hood.
