do u not know about the concept of context? also u are in the english speaking part of the internet 99.99% of the time it is about america, its a pretty safe assumption, and it is infact what this is about, so how about u stop spewing vile right wing bullshit and u learn how to read the room. either way we are done.
oh shit my bad how could i forget, every time u want to refer to something u MUST do so explicitly by name, sorry stupid mistake, how could i forget the most important rule of communication that literally everyone always follows because thats how things work.
first off not american eww dont disrespect me like that but second it literally is about america thats what the meme is about thats what everyone in the comments is talking about
bruh u are in the english speaking internet in a discussion about homelessness in the us, if u are ignorant of the situation thats ok but fuck off.
"we have to vote for a genocidal regime because the other guy is even worse"
U can vote for genocide or u can vote 3rd party, that is that. Maybe u can excuse genocide, amerikkkans are very comfy with it and have always love doing it but i can not.
the cause of homelessness is pretty fucking obviously the price of homes, the fucking audacity to look at hundreds of thousands of employed people with otherwise normal lives who just cant afford to have a roof over their heads and proclaim that it is because they have mental health or drug problems rather than the self evident explanation that its corporate greed, its just something else.
supposedly thats what politicians and lawyers and consultants are for, asking random people for the details of massive social programs, as a general argument against said programs seems kinda fucking stupid. Not saying most people are dumb to be clear we arent, its just that by the very nature of expertise most people dont have it on any particular area.
but unhoused reflects the fact that it is a societies duty to house its people, houseless like homeless leave it up to interpretation, whereas unhoused makes it more clear that this is a failing of the system not of individual people.
u will probably feel less welcomed if u arent white and male and a rightoid in 4chan than reddit but honestly not by much, i think the critical difference is that on reddit u can filter ur experience so all the shits stains hang out in their own subs and the normal people avoid them, but im not sure if that is actually better, because it permits a site which is at least tolerant of some of the shittiest ideologies and prejudices around to be main stream while everyone rightfully regards 4chan as what it truly is.
i suppose its much the same here with lemmy being pretty respectable but with vile people being allowed to leak thru from right wing cesspools like lemmy.world.
people always compare Chinas percent of people who speak their native tongue to genocidal states like amerikkka and canada but honestly it compares very favorably to european countries too where minorities sometimes massive ones like the occitanians in france have experience a slow cultural genocide and most people seem not to care.
the grass is roughly as green on the other side, android is no better for privacy unless u are willing to put in an unreasonable amount of work into it which isnt worth it for most peoples threat profile, i recommend switching passwords on everything and maybe factory resetting ur phone. Also u should switch but only because apple makes garbage products.
