If the US wants to increase the birth rate they should make this country one that’s worth bringing children into.

Tell that to drivers in the Netherlands lol, holy fuck those guys love to haul ass down twisty 2 lane roads that are only 1.75 lanes wide. Still don’t understand how I never lost a side view mirror driving over there.
Some parts of the interface are actually pretty similar to the old Kings Quest/Quest for Glory games lol. For instance you still cycle through the cursor with a right click to look, talk, walk, and left left click to use the action shown by the cursor etc. The combat is substantially different, and sort of like KoTOR you can pause during combat and plan the next moves for all your party members. It also helps to have at least some understanding of AD&D’s combat system, THAC0 in particular, as that is what the combat is based on.
But yeah if you’ve been gaming long enough that you remember the golden age of Sierra games then you will probably be able to appreciate BG1 and 2

IMO the user interface/controls/gameplay of BG1 just feels so dated compared to modern games. If you didn’t play it back in the day and have that extra nostalgia bonus when you go to play it now, you may just find yourself thinking the game is super clunky and wondering what all the hype was about.
That being said, the story is second to none, and the story of BG2 is arguably as good or better. So if you don’t mind the somewhat-dated play style and want a good story, they could be right up your alley.

I was probably 9 or 10 at the time, visiting at a (wealthy) friends house, and my friend was showing me a bunch of his dads cool stuff, among which was a legitimate whip, like straight up indiana jones style. Naturally, I had to try it out…indoors…underneath the crystal chandelier hanging in their entryway…I wasn’t allowed over anymore after that.
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon...
Yeah there was no shortage of people acting like the Star Wars franchise had been utterly ruined by the prequels and the OT special Edition back in the day. Same thing is happening now with the sequels.
It’s true what people say, “nobody hates Star Wars as much as Star Wars fans”.
To be fair Trump doing literally fucking anything that someone other than Vladimir Putin asked him to do, without bitching about it, is incredibly newsworthy. In fact I’m not sure it’s ever happened before.
Precisely, same deal with the Joker, they watch and think, “Wow this guy makes a lot of sense! He’s not crazy, all of you are the crazy ones!” which is exactly what a crazy person would think lol.
Like no, the solution to the fact that you don’t get laid isn’t “Well obviously I need to become an even shittier person.”
