All time with tech as a child should be limited and parents need to watch what they are doing. Just like the tv generation it is easy to let it babysit but it comes with a cost.

Set https everywhere. Use secure DNS servers. Install TOR along with all that. Tell me how your VPN provider can "see everything you do" with many layers of encryption, decentralization, and propagation of your data?
True it is the better option, but putting it on a guest network and adding parental control lowjacks it pretty well. Set it schedule to when you need it.
