They can be even more unprofitable like Amazon was for years and years - and now they print money. I don't think it's a bad model, but it's gonna come down to just a couple governments/companies having powerful AIs where we are not needed anymore - so if it's privately owned it would spell doom for the human species or at least a huge portion of it, potential enslavement as well.

Yep exactly, that's why you make it people owned. What is your alternative ? They do have companies/governments that can afford it even at these steep prices.

I don't see why I'm downvoted for this, but I don't agree with this opinion - it's like teaching a human being. If you buy everything once it's still a hell of a bill - we are talking all books, all movies, all games, all software, all memes, all things - 1 of each is still trillions if you legally want to train your new thing on it.

I mean if they pay for it like everyone else does I don't think it is a problem. Yes it will cost you billions and billions to do it correctly, but then you basically have the smartest creature on earth (that we know of) and you can replicate/improve on it in perpetuity. We still will have to pay you licensing fees to use it in our daily lives, so you will be making those billions back.

Now I would say let them use anything that is old and freeware, textbooks, etc. government owned stuff - we sponsored it with our learning, taxes - so we get a percentage in all AI companies. Humanity gets a 51% stake in any AI business using humanity's knowledge, so we are then free to vote on how the tech is being used and we have a controlling share, also whatever price is set, we get half of it back in taxes at the end of the year. The more you use it the more you pay and the more you get back.

You are correct on many of those points. But lets look for edge cases - people living in apartments, they can't charge their cars when there are no garages, so they need to do what normal people do with gas cars - go to the gas station to charge. So if you have a 600 miles car and drive 35 miles per day that's enough to supercharge once per week for 30+ minutes and be good for the rest of the week - good for the battery, good for wait times, good for not pissing off the person buying the car as they don't have to waste multiple hours per week.

If your point is that it's inneficient to carry heavy batteries around I would agree, but isn't it less efficient to use gas, to have 2 cars instead of 1, to have to rent a car, etc. I think it balances out and with new battery technology you'll see that they'll start competing more fiercely with range, but there is a sweet spot and I think it's 600 miles, if the battery drain is not affected by cold/hot weather 360 miles would be a good sweetspot.

I hope the market appreciates this new model, but highly doubt it - most of the other things I suggested in the original post also affect if the buyer would decide to spend their money on the car. I don't think it's unrealistic for VW/Audi to make something like this at a competitive price of $120k - same as the starting price for a BMW M5.

The problem is that the battery degrades, so it's a good idea to keep it charges to 60-80% so that it last way longer. If you have 600 miles of max range then that means you can easily have 360-480 miles for your driving. This is overkill as well right ? Wrong, if you live in a cold climate it practically gets halved so now you have 180-240 miles of driving.

Let's say it's summer though, now you want to drive 600 miles to your nearest ocean/sea and want to sightsee along the way. With a battery that big you might have to charge once and not even fully to have enough confidence driving to places where charging might be limited.

That's why smaller batteries make sense only if you use the car for daily commuting, now you need to rent or buy a proper long range gas car or ev car - which now costs you quite a bit more or adds inconvenience. With tesla the problem is almost solved, but they have problematic political views and minimalistic interiors and a max battery of 402 miles. So yeah I think it's worth it to make a car that costs 3x what VW are pushing, but is useful to everybody.

There's that, but the problem is weight, with a 600mile range battery it's gonna be a heavy car, with small 18 inch tires and more rubber to make the ride softer you can't fit large piston brakes, so you need to make changes to improve the overall experience - think about a system that stops a small EV with the weight of a large SUV faster than a sports car. It would make for an amazing driving experience as EVs have great acceleration, just not the best weight balance, even though it's mostly kept to the floor for a lower point of gravity. Not to mention you would be saving lives in the case of an accident.

We all watch porn, instagram is softcore that is public for all to see so it makes it weird. He'll do what he wants to do and it's up to you to set boundaries for yourself, make him aware and if he respects them too - you are good, move forward, multiple conversations are needed here.

I'm sure you find other men attractive, but those are just thoughts, women make a living of showing off, men can only do it through other gay men as women don't pay for porn as much as men.

It's unrealistic for you or him to not watch porn in this day and age, so yeah you are being over the top, especially if you didn't make it obvious before. I would think liking pics/videos is fine, anything more than that is pretty bad, men have types, but some days I love redheads with huge tits, other days it's dwarves dressed like characters with huge butts - so I wouldn't read anything more than that into it.

Just work on believing and making sure you look like the baddest bitch possible version and it will improve your self confidence. Also I do find it weird you don't think other guys liking your stories/pics, dm-ing you is not triggering the same type ot jealousy for the other side.

It takes time and organization to transport weapon systems across the globe safely. He could have done more, he could have done 0 - it is slower when you make sure congress agrees and you are not breaking any laws, instead of writing out executive orders to rule by decree.
