Cherry Pipe sounds interesting. Comments on the soap?
In addition to the mullet, and yellow Corvette, you forgot the sleeveless undershirt [ I won't use the politically incorrect name ].

Wonderful shave to lead into the weekend! Aranceto shares a number of scent notes with Roman Spice and, while different, these two scents complement each other brilliantly. [take note @whosgotthepudding].
Probably just superstition at this point
Note that there is significant empirical evidence resulting from honing extra-hollow ground razors with in-plane compression. That said, I make my passes rather slowly and at light pressure to minimize buckling that may, or may not, occur 🤨
I’m not sure I have a deburring problem
Fair enough. I may have misread your comment.
here I do exclusively trailing edge strokes.
For bulk material removal, the direction of motion does not matter, as I'm sure you know. However, when you get to edge refinement it does. The direction of abrasion draws out the apex as the bevel angle narrows. As Science of Sharp shows, the apex can have a foil burr, but this is easily overcome with stropping, and stropping also creates a micro-convex shape at the apex that I've found to enhance shave comfort.
I have a feeling that the soft leather is better at deburring freshly honed edges
If you load this strop (or another if you want this one to stay pristine) with a thin layer of 1 micron diamond paste your deburring problems will be solved. Years ago I was told that the high quality diamond pastes "tend" to have more consistency in particle size than the green chromium oxide waxy pastes.
With a Bowie knife you're always prepared to do the "That's not a knife. That's a knife" scene from Crocodile Dundee. I find SMW to be a terrific EdP for spring/summer. Very high-key.

I have @whosgotthepudding to thank for recommending Roman Spice.
This is a scent designed by u/hawns to be a fresh scent of the '60s updated for the millennial/GenX generations. As someone who was around in the '60s, I'd say that this scent has less of that one-note feel (and strength) of the post WWII scents that I'm familiar with, and has more complexity, balance, and a more appropriate strength for the 21st century. I still get wafts of the EdT as I type this, but the scent does not have to compete with a smoke-filled room (typical of the '60s where everyone smoked). Well done! I hope you whippersnappers enjoy it!
Today I used a Puma 89 for the shave. This is a new razor to the collection that I purchased off eBay for a very good price. Suspicious that you "get what you pay for", I honed the razor expecting that there would be some problems to overcome. There were. Here is the video for the honing. The shave with the resulting Ozuku Jnat edge was wonderful.
Yes it is. Your post reminded me to put some Silver Mountain Man Mondays in my future.
Do you have the Silver Mountain Water to go along with Mountain Man?
Very nice haul! I would suggest testing the wavy portion of the edge on the 72½. If it push-cuts the same as the rest of the edge, no big deal. Otherwise, there’s some edge-grinding to be done. As available as these are, I’m not certain it would be worth the effort.
They had come recommended to me at the time from a gentleman I used to talk with quite a bit
Lots of times the "brand" stones tend to be made for them by a stone manufacturer. Naniwa is pretty well known for this. They can, apparently, make stones to a specification. The black Kramer synthetic stones are made by Naniwa. I've never used them but I'm told they are of exceptional quality and not a copy of some Naniwa stone.
Another gorgeous brush! You have a great collection.
