people should realise that there’s quite a sizable difference between British English and American English

Honestly, these insults are generally good natured. Many people in my generation aren't particularly emotionally sensitive, and some of us don't mind a bit of banter.

I'm quite keen to try Armonía and almost did a blind buy. I'll be getting a sample of this soon, but I expect a tub to follow soon thereafter.

  • Talc: Yardley Gold

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

Trotting out my inaugural Silver Mountain Monday. This is definitely a setup I want to repeat. Wonderful shave.

Today was a test shave. I badly needed to refresh the edge on this razor and decided to do it with a starter kit of sharpening stones that I purchased to see how they would perform. I was really surprised by how good this edge was. I was prepared to touch it up after this shave with one of my more expensive finishing stones. Instead I enjoyed the shave so much, I will leave it as is.

I learn something everyday! Here's the video

Today is Memorial Day here in the states. It is a holiday that marks the beginning of summer but, more importantly, it is a day when we honor those in our military who died serving their country.

I agree. The plum note in the scent was a stroke of genius IMHO.

despite english only being my second language

Well, as an American, I'm often told by friends in the UK, and multi-lingual Europeans, that my English is atrocious :-)

Not so sure one should place a high value on info from Patrick Bateman ;-)

  • Brush: Wild West Brushworks Blue Space 26mm Cashmere
  • Blade Holder: Gillette Aristocrat US (1948-1951)
  • Blade: Personna Platinum (3)
  • Lather: E&S Rasage - Azur - Soap
  • Toner: Thayers - Lemon - Toner
  • Aftershave: E&S Rasage - Azur - Aftershave

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

This was a quick shave today but great nonetheless. Azur really captures that mediterranean coast vibe. The Monaco Grand Prix F1 race was today, and Monaco is at the northeast end of Côte d'Azur, so the choice of today's setup seemed fitting.

Ouch++;

@PorkButtsNTaters666 Entropy Man’s fragrance stumped me for the first couple of uses, then I had an “aha” moment with it. Now it is a scent I need to have available.

Plus, @djundjila and I think it is Sri’s nod to Boltzmann; literally the entropy man. I chatted for a while with Sri at the Maggard Meetup but forgot to ask him about this. At some point I will.

I bought Roman Spice on the advice of @whosgotthepudding . I should take his advice more often.

This 6/8 Dubl Duck is a new arrival. I have the 5/8 as well, but much prefer the razor in this size.

"There's a frood who really knows where his towel is."

[ I had to look this up. It has been a very long time since I read the books. ]

This could be a nice AA setup

Hell yeah!! As good as the 70^th^ Anniversary trifecta was for AA, I would prefer your Desert Vetiver setup better. Though DV is regarded as a dupe of EIV, it comes across more as in-family to me, and complements EIV rather than copies it. I have the same feeling about Opuntia and Creed Aventus.

I agree completely. Even though I am aware of it, I get fooled by the hair shaper blade in the same way.
