Fairly wide aperture. It was carefully chosen so that when the soap label is in sharp focus, the white background behind it falls out of focus. That depth of field then required a stack of 5 images (5 depth of fields) to allow for sharp focus from the front of the image to the soap label.

Last year, I looked forward to Frigid Day as a way to use MiTA. This gave me a chance to prepare a mouthwatering (to me) Margarita and drink it after making the SOTD photo the night before the shave. [OK, I may have had more than one.]
But this year, I have to chase some silly point and stack the items I used in my shave today. You did mean focus-stack, right?!

I was interested in trying Aventus dupes a couple of years ago. I tried a number of samples and actually bought tubs of some of them. Of the ones I have, I think Succès is the best. I doubt that it is note-for-note accurate but, to me, it has the best feeling of high-key freshness that real Aventus has.
Here is my artist's rendering of the cover.
Have some poor pictures of my den storage.
Yeah! Jeez! :) I guess I'll be lenient with criticism based on fatherhood and working grounds.
This would be very easy for me to do. I have a bunch of digital humidity and temperature meters that I bought for building my own tupperdors for my cigar collection. But, alas, I spend my time dealing with YouTube comments on why abrasives work the way they do. To some, this is just complete voodoo, and yet it is so important, it has been studied to death. Clearly, I need to revisit my "don't plan, just push the button then start talking" approach :)
Yeah, I got it by just fiddling with it when wondering why it was so small. But I made a flippant comment on how well the razor worked given its small handle when I published this photo knowing that I had this photo in the bag for the next day. VW was very concerned that I had used the razor with the handle collapsed :)
I'm operating under the assumption that they are better than nothing. I bought them in volume (🙄) and replace them about once per month. It helps that my collection o' stuff is way from the WCs in the house.

Not a lot to say. I enjoy this Grafton scent, but rarely use this cream. The brush and this cream were part of a gift set that I received long ago. The razor is another gift (from u/VisceralWatch) that I really should use more often. These little FBTs are terrific shavers.
Here are some photos of my collection of shaving stuff.
As someone who looks to the Lather Games more for entertainment than for points, these podcasts are invaluable. I try to go through the SOTD comments each day but I invariably miss some of the highlights. The podcast helps me find the gems I've missed. Thanks to you guys for doing this!
If others want to use Don Josè the menthol is not a deal breaker for me.
Thank you!
