Apple released a new open-source programming language, described as: Configuration that is Programmable, Scalable, and Safe.

It can translate the configuration to already existing configuration languages such as JSON, YAML, and others.

You can also embed those configuration files in some programming languages and produce code from them.

Upset? I'm just explaining what happened, learn to read.

On a memes community? I don't expect that, anyways, I already left this so let stop it right here.

What should I expect for a "memes" community? A post about irrelevant politic bs with no proofs but just woke shit? No thanks.

Why is this irrelevant nonsense on the memes community tho.

It's about webrtc, which the support on Firefox is even more poor.

It does work over network, so you don't need any physical connection apart from being in the same network. Therefore, it's easier, faster, less complicated, and more.

It does actually support several files, folders, or anything.

I stopped using pairdrop/snapdrop because it doesn't work on native wayland chrome/chromium due to webrtc.

If you want a easy, reliable and cross-platform way to share files between computers, phones, etc, it may be of your interest.

Right, actually you can use Discord natively on Wayland just passing the flags mentioned in the post. The only issue I have found with the official Discord client is that it doesn't support streaming audio alongside to streaming your screen, but vesktop does the trick for that.

Let's talk about #Linux on the desktop, #Gnome and the state of #Wayland in 2024.

Works fine here.

Well, you can use it from a browser which makes it platform independent and without the need to install anything. Also it's more friendly for non-tech people.

TuneD is a system tuning service for Linux. It:

  • monitors connected devices using the udev device manager
  • tunes system settings according to a selected profile
  • supports various types of configuration like sysctl, sysfs, or kernel boot command line parameters, which are integrated in a plug-in architecture
  • supports hot plugging of devices and can be controlled from the command line or through D-Bus, so it can be easily integrated into existing administering solutions: for example, with Cockpit
  • can be run in no-daemon mode with limited functionality (for example, no support for D-Bus, udev, tuning of newly created processes, and so on) for systems with reduced resources
  • stores all its configuration cleanly in one place – in the TuneD profile – instead of having configuration on multiple places and in custom scripts

Darling is a translation layer that lets you run macOS software on Linux, not an emulator, it's like wine but for MacOS apps.

Render anything inline. Save sessions and history. Powered by open web standards.

I'm trying it, and it does looks nice.

I'm kinda surprised.

Will people here use/try Meta's #threads when available? Would love to know the reasons or if it would be just for fun/curiosity.

The amount of data collected is insane imo.
