When she sat down on The View and said she wouldn't change a thing compared to Biden that was a messaging problem. People can't afford rent and grocery inflation is out of control and she thinks everything is fine and dandy? I voted for her but I'm kind of sick of being a perpetual afterthought who has been voting for the lesser of two evils for over 20 years. They dumped the working class in favor of chasing an imaginary pool of moderates and this is the result. Give us someone we can be passionate about and, even if they're lying, at least pretend to tell us what we want to hear.

I thought it was amazing. But the director is a trans woman and there will always be losers trying to drag anything "woke" down with low scores because they are losers.

Trump's vote was largely static. He didn't add significant support in any way. We already knew a third of the country was filled with regressive assholes. The reason he won was that over 15 million people who voted for Biden in 2020 sat this one out. This was 100% a messaging failure and the DNC deserves all the blame. Sanders is absolutely right here. We wanted to hear about unions and job protection and taxing billionaires, not see Harris try to court right wingers while paling around with that fucking ghoul Liz Cheney and her war criminal father. They fucked up, they lost.

So God let him lose in 2020, but then decided he wanted him to back in 2024? God is pretty undecisive for an all mighty and all knowing kinda dude.

I think I'm going to just have to tune out social media and the internet in general for the next couple years. Focus on offline stuff and hope things don't go to completely to hell. It's sad but the best case scenario is that trump passes more tax cuts for billionaires and loses interest in everything else like he did last time. But yeah, on an emotional level this is even worse than 2016. It just makes no sense to me that so many people decided to just sit this one out.

That's not going to work. Biden got 5.2 million votes in NY in 2020. Harris just got 4.1 million. Trump did about the same both times. There was a huge enthusiasm gap on the left. Moving people around won't work. If people aren't going to come out to vote in NY, they aren't going to do it in bumfuck Indiana.
