You have to disable Play Protect it now blocks unknown apks on android 15 and higher most users will give up only tech inclined users will most likely pursue that cource.

I use McDonalds App all the time on GOS this only affect you if you use Google Pay when checking out to my knowledge.

Glad I use GrapheneOS and don't use any Google apps or services anymore it's amazing how I no longer get spam calls and texts since the switch.

I mean you should expect this from any play store version of a app.

Odd I used it to install GTA: SA definitive edition purchased on the play store website then installed and updated via Aurora still works just updated it recently too.

Honestly it's just a cool perk for me I use proton and use all thier services the only one I don't use is thier wallet but never had a issue. Works for my uses would love contact sync but I gave up on that and just self host EteSync on my Pi5.

Because the guest option uses a Google Services API so the are getting your Google Account info to make the connection the Foss versions rightfully strip play services integration like most if not all foss apps.

Is it the pro or the tube shield the tube is 32 bit only and most apps and games have moved to 64 bit only so the pro would be needed but I can still install paid apps on aurora on my phone just fine.
