You put 15k immediately in?

That sounds stressful.

If so, I feel it would be better to put 15k into your account but purchasing in 1k a month increments. It would have flattened that dip for you.

I think your guess is much more plausible. Because I understand that the trapped bacteria is a risk to the eyes, as well as a lack of oxygen, when sleeping with lenses.

Why contacts though? Are they making the tears in the cornea to let in the parasites?

Curious if I'd be at risk for taking off my glasses and going for a swim

Android looks good. Why do they have the change the look again when not nearly every app is even using Material You?

I'd rather performance, power, and more capabilities like desktop mode.

Someone did the math on Twitter.

There is about 2900 Linux gamers playing Apex.

So even if 100% of Linux gamers cheated it could in no way be the majority.

What I think happened is the dev team struggled to solve the problem so they used Linux as a scapegoat when leadership came down on them.

It is a crime in Texas to take photograph s within 100ft of a voting machine

It was annoying too, because Texas has huge ballots, and I took notes on my phone to help me.

Yep they do.

In my community college we had an assignment to make a board game.

One student wanted to make a Monopoly-like game. One day police stormed the school library. That kid had tried to one-side print dollar bills.

Even though they were obviously fake representations, the presence of the dollar bills triggered alarms.

It's driven me to believe that the reason printers aren't open source, isn't only because of how difficult the engineering in print heads are, but also that printers must have certain protections like these alarams in place.

You touch your finger to your lip, what your brain "says" is that your lips are being touched by something, and the signal from your finger takes the back seat. You touch the same fingertip to your thigh your brain says the finger is the primary sensation, and you feel the thigh via the finger rather than the finger via the thigh the way the lips worked.

This was wild to experience. Thank you for the interactive educational lesson.

If Lemmy had a c/bestof, I'd be cross-posting. Thank you southsamurai!

I swear I've read about four of these occurrence this week.

Does anyone know if there is a record of all preventable deaths from complicated pregnancies?

So I can drill this into my suddenly pro-life anti-immigrant Trumper family?

Power efficient if all your software agrees with it. I use an M3 at work and it dies in a couple hours during sleep.

s0ix is the same shit show on all three major platforms

VRR, HDR.

It also had an early patch for nvidia support on Wayland earlier in the year.

I believe mutter-vrr has gotten merged though, behind a dconf flag

Gnome on the laptop, its keyboard and touch gestures are the best for notebooks. I also like its simple design and reliability.

KDE on desktop, I'd use gnome, but kwin has more gaming relevant features.

I noticed with QPR3, the back gesture in Sync now shows a black screen during the animation.

Could this be fixed? I read it'll become default in Android 15.
