I knew she was cooked when she didn't call him a cuck on SNL.

Everyone is telling you about the algorithm punishing any non-sanitized content, but I'd like to present a slightly less worrying reason why people do it: to avoid getting harassed by chuds searching for topics like 'rape' and 'nazi' and starting arguments.

I saw it when I was rather young but I thought it was pretty good, apparently people thought it’s edgy.

That's me, I'm people. Same as you, I remember watching it when I was young and thinking it was a cool mature thriller, but I rewatched it last year for the first time and I was honestly a little shocked at how edgy it seems. Like the first 30 minutes really hammer how much trauma Evan went through, and it just felt really heavy handed.

edit: to be clear I don't hate The Butterfly Effect, I just remember distinctly thinking how edgy it was on review

And the electorate (well, active electorate) is majority Trump voters

Calling out the problem is not saying they are irredeemable.

In one post I read, a user commented that he’s happy with women having fewer rights and left “barefoot and pregnant” by authoritarian, Republican policies, because he wants a cadre of “slave girls” serving him. Outside of the virtual locker room, there are men who have reportedly been red-pilled into anti-feminist mass killings and murdering their own spouses.

These are the men swimming in the electoral pool. It’s not too late for it to be drained.

Like, yes, these people absolutely do need to be flushed. Nowhere does that mean they are permanently branded Bad Forever, you're just making that up.

Abuser logic. The only people directly responsible for Trump are Trump voters.

Devastating: getting caught not reading on the internet

In my defense, I see Blue MAGA thrown around from both sides of the Palestine situation.

Left wing bias? Like anything remotely anti-capitalist?

No, never seen it from anything remotely mainstream.

Blue MAGA doesn't exist

The article is not saying the problem is solely with them, and they are garbage beyond redemption.

I don't know what spaces you hang out in, but that's never been the case anywhere I've been. I see more people complaining about this behavior than I've ever seen the behavior itself.

The ‘progressives’ who stayed home this election because they couldnt hold their nose and vote for harris? Have damned us all.

I think it was the Trump voters that did that, actually.

Sim, arcade, simcade, anything. I'm kinda disconnected from the genre and want to know what is considered the GOATs of racing games to try them out.

Me personally, I'd say Dirt Rally 2, very addicting gameplay.

For the uninitiated, crouch jumping is a mechanic where you can increase the height of ledges you are able to jump on by holding crouch after jumping, like a simulation of pulling your legs up in real life.

I never really thought much about it growing up, some games had it, some didn't, but it always felt natural/intuitive, and today I feel like it is a way to increase the ceiling of player movement by a simple combination of two existing movements.

However I've heard that some people dislike it, and some actively hate it. Some of the arguments I've heard is that if a player needs to be able to get somewhere, then ledges should be lower and not gated, and that the whole mechanic is useless and just introduces an extra button press for no reason.

I can see the merit in some points, and others I feel like are nitpicky, but I'm interested in broadly knowing how Lemmy feels about it.
