Haha this made me chuckle. Having experienced working with one of the named parties.

Then again they are very effective at running up costs

Great question!

A National internet ID of course!

it might be called a Crypto-quantum-cyber-safety-passcode and you'll need to use it in any site that collects and stores data about you. It will be for your safety!

/s

Speaking of...

Has it ever been explored to pen a modern day update similar to , or to the constitution (amendment)?

(It would add new things) which could prevent future stupid laws and the encroachment of individual privacy and how other entities can collect, store, use and sell one's data and metadata they create. It would also avoid wasting of resources..

I'm sure there are other modern things today that the founding fathers could never have imagined at the time - but you better believe they would have included if they had the slightest idea!

The tough part is that it would need to be well thought out and reasonable (and practical)

Otherwise, it will always be a knee jerk defensive reaction to all this nonsense all the time. It's exhausting and a waste of $

Dolphin has been one of my favorite benefits of switching from Ubunt to Debian! I didn't know how "plain" nautilus was until I met Dolphin.

I've been able to customize the file window to my liking and it's really nice !

Completely did! Thanks for being kind.

My shell prompt is stock and gets really long sometimes

I'm about to install Debian and try some other desktop environments... And maybe I'll play with my shell prompt later.

I'm using guake

I like that it's just the F12 key away then F11 to expand to full window. Supports multiple tabs.

Anyone using guake?

Pihole. Default block lists

Okay, got you. Thanks. Maybe I'm just use to it, and selectively backup stuff from my home without doing a full sync.

Thanks for the answer.

I'm not understanding why we don't want some config files in our home dir

Where else would we put them and why would I want to have to back then all up from different places?

Thx

Your feet should be able to tell unless you are under say.. 25-30 and or under 165lbs....

I have friends that are in their late 30s and 200-220lbs and they need extra cushy shoes like Hokas ...and after about 200km they are not doing their job anymore. Time for new shoes.

I suppose it also depends how far you run each time and if you're a heel or toe striker

Be good to your feet (knees, hips) Your future self will thank you

One thing I would suspect is they leverage third parties and share your phone number to get back additional known data about you or your interests or other activities which other companies have shared. I think in a way it ends up being a connection point for your data across many places.
