This answer is so so superberb, thank you so much for clarify me this, also with the list of terminology. I didn't know that FSR3 is an upscaler + semi frame gen... It's a pity that BG3 doesn't support this...

Ya it’s not a good look of things to come, but so far it’s not a huge issue (yet).

Not a huge deal now, but...I don't like this move...I don't like it AT ALL...

This comment has definitely stopped me from wanting to switch to iOS, I can't do it, if I don't sail the high seas I don't feel comfortable, I only spend my money where I have a grain of apparent freedom

Hello everyone, I have a 6600XT and I am just recently approaching these technologies. Everything I read on the web and on yt seems to contradict itself.

This is what I understand:

  • FSR (and Super res): it's upscaling and you can use it to make a game smoother (so technically I could go from 30 to 60 fps)?
  • AFMF is a frame generator so technically it's a win-more-condition, if I have 60 fps I can do better, but it doesn't improve something that isn't already fluid.

That said beyond the fact that FSR 2 (on Baldur's Gate 3 for example) makes everything a bit grainy and blurry compared to native resolution, I did this test:

BG3 on an ultrawide screen at 2100x900 high details, native runs me at 43 fps.

FSR2 (quality) + AFMF: I get 190fps

But 190fps goes beyond the 75Hz of my Freesync monitor. And the frame cap in game seems to turn off. Radeon Chill cannot be enabled, so is there a workaround? Other than using custom drivers like R.ID, which seem to be stuck at the March release?

But it really makes sense for soft pacing single player to have all that FPS without a frame cap? Do I understand well the case-scenario where I should use one or the other tech?

Thanks

I was an iOS supporter until iphone 5 then I discovered the beauty and freedom of Android.

To this day with Samsung s22+

But currently I am a bit tired, there is no android phone that I am passionate about, oneplus has given me nothing but problems, Samsung with exynos is a disaster (not to mention the new blockages at sideload and the green stripes on the display), I don't even want to go near all the other Chinese brands, and Nothing is not what it promised to be.

I want to go back to iOS but there are a few things holding me back:

  • how can sideload be managed on iOS? Are there modified apps like youtube, reddit?

  • I follow a lot of NSFW channels on telegram, discord and reddit itself, are there any problems on iOS? are there ways around this? (my girlfriend has iOS, and every time I want to forward an nsfw gif she doesn't see it)

  • surf the sea, is it complex on ios? Especially in terms of gaming?

TBH only yt, nsfw and modded apk keep me on android. Thanks a lot in advance

Good to know, the main problem is that a good % of gamer doesn't have time to a tryhard with different version of things, drivers... I have skill to setup a linux gaming machine but I don't have time to do this. If Linux gaming becoming more and more straightforward (not as windows but similar, starting from gpu driver), more and more ppl could ditch at least windows second partition.

I discovered searx via this post, currently I use startpage which is the only one that restiuses me results as similar as possible to google. Is it possible to get a similar result with Seraxng? because it seems to me that the results are always very strange, it returns sites that are often inconsistent or unfamiliar. To give an example, if I search for searx in google the first result is wikipedia and the fourth searx.space, while in searxng the results are different depending on the instance used. Thank you

If only linux gaming and thermal became more and more robust, in few year I will switch too with pleasure. Adobe suite can still be a problem but not for me anymore at least.

mmm even to store them and let them grow?

Hi guys sorry for the noob thread I hope this will not trigger someone.

I want to start to invest in crypto just a little every month. But I don't want to trade a lot and I want medium risk maximum.

For one that want to start and study. Do you think to start first buying btc and eth in percentage? And only after a certain amount start to move on medium risk coin?

Another question: is there some YouTuber or blog that talk about crypto without any stupid fake news and promises to get rich?

Thanks a lot

This morning I read the article about Denuvo on Switch. What do fellow pirates think of this? Could it pave the way for that crap on other consoles as well? Is it time to become a datahearer? (⌐■_■)
