That's just wishful thinking that doesn't address the problem at all. Even though you might want the 90-9-1 ratio to change, it isn't. It's an established pattern for a reason. Even if the person you responded to was gonna post a lot, they might get a few upvotes, maybe a comment or two on their posts. Simply because there aren't enough people here to engage with niche topics. And then it feels like your effort is futile (which honestly it is if your goal is an active community), they get discouraged and stop posting and we're back to square one with no meaningful changes. Sometimes it is about numbers and this is one such case.

Probably something like... €400.000 to €450.000. Then I could buy an apartment or small house when I graduate and pay off my student loans in full. It depends on the city I can find work in and want to live though. There are 3 I'm seriously considering and it varies about a €100.000 for a house between the cheapest and most expensive of the three.

Yeah they evolved to keep much more baby-like features into adulthood with a big head and huge eyes because that's cute to us and triggers strong instincts of protection and love. I forget the exact name for it. And my cats do be looking extremely cute all the time so it was very successful.

I have two small friend groups of four and in both is someone who often works weekend, so that's always fun trying to plan something, let alone if I want to have both groups somewhere. It was honestly a miracle I could get all 6 of them in one place at the same time somewhat close to my birthday.

The problem with eating meat is not the eating meat. I don't give a fuck if someone eats meat from an animal that hasn't suffered, that was free and in its natural habitat. I don't know if I would myself because after 15 years of not eating meat I don't think I'd still like it, but it's not unethical. The problem is the untold amount of widespread suffering and cruelty of beings with emotions and sentience and attachments and capacity for both physical and emotional pain that is industrial livestock farming.

Same. I was wasting way too much time there anyway. The only thing I still use it for is discussions for TV shows.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that next time. Even though it's infuriating that it's necessary in the first place

It's not the government who is settling the West Bank. Yes, it is their policy, but it's regular Israeli citizens who are killing Palestinians, burning their homes down or taking their homes from them and driving them away.

I don't even care about the shorts showing up in search results. What really irks me is that you get like 3 videos related to search results, then some random unrelated shit, 3 relevant videos, more unrelated garbage, and then the rest of the actually relevant videos. I am specifically searching for something, just show me the damn thing.

I watch a lot of long-form video essays about politics, economics, media analysis, and societal stuff like that, sketch or video game comedy, and some random hobby stuff, all by independent creators. I also watch stream vods on YouTube. Oh and asmr to fall asleep. I don't want to watch ads obviously but it would be much more expensive to support everyone I watch on patreon, even if I only gave a dollar to every one. And I do want to support them financially because a lot of that long-form stuff literally takes weeks or months to make.

When I've done my last exam I get to grade exams for the rest of my life lol. I love teaching though but grading isn't the most exciting part

Who the hell knows how long a kilometer or meter is?

Everyone outside of America.

Everyone knows what a football field looks like

You're either trolling or a living embodiment of the 'Americans think the USA is the whole world' meme. Nobody outside of the USA knows how long a football field is.
