Thanks, it looks like it could be something but it only has DOCSIS 3.0, I will need to check if that’s enough.

I would like to just buy a modem but somehow I can’t find any cable modems in Germany. There are a few I could import from Amazon US but they apparently don’t support EuroDOCSIS. I used to have one from Cisco, provided by the ISP, that worked perfectly but with a contract change they demanded it back (a condition they did not tell me about and I’m still angry about that).

Oh man that would be amazing. My ISP at some point stopped giving out modems with the internet contract and instead only offers these shitty routers with integrated modems. I read somewhere that you can still get a modem if you asked. So I called and spend 15 minutes trying to describe the difference between a router and a modem and gave up.

Man kriegt darauf immer von Geschäftsführern gesagt, "Was soll man machen?

Alien Isolation is seriously one of the best games ever made and it still holds up today. It was just a bit too long.

Right, I've heard recently in a podcast about Sonic that hedgehogs are seen as exotic animals in the US.

You don't see them very often here either because they are mostly active in the dark, so I'm also happy to see one every time. And so is my dog.

Nothing really. I guess insect enthusiasts will have one or two to find only here in Germany?

We’re relatively small and surrounded by other countries, I would be surprised if any species stays within this border.

The Old Tower from around 1300. It was part of a church that was destroyed in 1880.

There is a difference when you show things getting crushed „for science“ and showing basically a whole room of tools for creativity being crushed to replace it with a cold, flat digital device. Especially now that AI is threatening to replace many creative jobs, this is just bad timing. Ads are also statements.

I hope it was all CGI because my first thought was, what a waste of beautiful, fully intact things. I personally don’t like seeing those videos on Youtube either.
