I really don't like how (standard) anime girls always have their back arched (to make them more cute, I guess?). It really doesn't work with a lot of movements like striking a hammer. If this pic is supposed to be epic, she needs a more dynamic pose. This just looks like some rich Instagram girl touched a hammer for the first time.

I think this basically just tests how heavy chromosomes/DNA-strands are. By that you can see how long they are. The many lines on the side are the reference-ladder.

The clear lines in the second pic indicate a very clean sample of similar length DNA, while the smears in the first indicate some form of contamination.

Yea, I'm from Germany. I don't remember exactly, but it was probably like 9th or 10th grade. 12th was graduation. And you gotta learn all the Integral stuff and e functions etc. after derivatives. Do you do all that in one year?
