There were loads of overt Star Wars references in this episode which was fun.

  • Music queues were distinctly more John Williams-y.
  • Scene transitions hidden behind ships travelling past the screen.
  • Scariff style forcefield over one planet.
  • Tatooine like architecture.
  • Tatooine cantina shape and style to the bar.
  • A masked bounty hunter with an unintelligible language is actually an undercover ally.
  • The weather station is reminiscent of the Endor shield array.
  • Attacking a technological foe with sticks and war cries was similar to the Ewok battle in RotJ.

Some folks had a good day when they signed all that off.

That isn’t a theory, that’s true isn’t it? Original show notes were for Paris to be Locarno, but it was going to be far too expensive for them over the years (total cop out IMHO). Think of Locarno coming back as this; Moore and Shankar are finally getting some of that skrilla

Paris is genuinely entertaining in it. The look of perverse amusement as he pops his own tongue off, total brilliance. It’s the exact amount of goofy that the premise demands.

Just a few random eps…and two of the most quoted and referenced episodes of the whole franchise! Between Capt. Jellico and “There are Four Lights” c/risa is about 20% content from those two episodes. (I’m not telling you off here, just adding my amazement at what an impact that two-parter has had).

Don’t forget the “culture” being interfered with is the descendants of humans, forcibly removed from Earth to be slaves in a culture of violence, oppression, and fear. Not exactly the Quimbo of Shoogle VII, who just want to keep hitting people with sticks thinking it’ll cure the plague, or whatever.

Brunt-volio, FCA, was trying to make peace (following rule 35), he’s unsuccessful, though that’s okay (rule 34).

Not just accounting purposes. The commissioning producers are totally separate, decision making is largely devolved down to the separate channels to encourage audience awareness.

Didn’t look like you’re replying to anyone supporting Hamas.

Also, there is an alternative #2 in your scenario. “Know your enemy would lose too much western support too readily if they were to fine on all the civilian targets they would like to”.

Or you could think?

There is literally no need to punch at Jennifer Lien. Risa isn’t the place to attack actors; let alone those with confirmed mental health issues that lead to their arrest. What you did here was post a photo of an unwell person.
