May I ask when you were banned? Because YoBuckStopsHere only recently became the owner of the community, it may have been the prior mods/owners that did it.

They want an echo chamber, and that’s not how political news works.

Over the past week or two, I've been discussing merging this community with c/world. The intents and purposes of both of these communities are essentially the same, and we don't really see a reason to divide that community rather than just put it all under one roof.

We're open to any and all opinions on this, and nothing is set in stone so please feel free to reply candidly.

Please speak up especially if you feel like:

  1. You wouldn't like this for really any reason

  2. You feel this community already serves a different purpose

  3. You feel this community could serve a different purpose, and include what changes you'd like to see to meet that goal.

I work with the head mod of c/world, @[email protected], on c/NFL and talk to him regularly, we're both pretty much on the same page about everything and moderate communities in a similar manner, so if your only reservation would be possible stricter or different moderation, I hope that alleviates some of the concern. All of the mods from here would also be welcome to join over there if we do merge.

DK Country on SNES is one of my all-time favorite games that I continually go back and play. I remember the bliss I felt when I finally beat it, which seemed impossible to 4yo me.

I'm pretty sure I can farm lives on the first level with my eyes closed with how many times I've ran it

Because the way communities came to be moderated on Reddit created horrible echo chambers between banning people for disagreeing views or forcing their own opinions/views down people's throats via content removal, I wanted to grab them before the same terrible mods from Reddit did.

It's almost like you don't have to have entirely one-sided views and can moderate content without bias and without creating hate-filled echo chambers.

If you'd like to participate in either of those feel free to ask, I'm not here to "power trip".

I am currently the only moderator, I don't want to spam my own posts to any community though. I would rather them develop on their own and hope the community and posts come/grow organically.
