I could blame a lot of things here, but it's just obviously been far too long since I've done basic math. I appreciate you fact checking me.

I'd be inclined to agree, ernest seems very competent, but he also seems to be trying to carry this entire project on his shoulders which with a project this size isn't doable if you have other life concerns.
For me, I think the thing holding the Orville back the most is honestly Seth as the captain. I feel the same way about just McFarlane specifically. I know it's his passion project and he wants to be the star trek captain, and I get that, right there with ya, but I feel like it's his character kinda pulling the other characters in a specific way that kinda ruins the attempt at a serious vibe sometimes.
Have you seen Fringe? It's a tv show from about a decade ago, very similar vibe to the X-files.
If you don't like that and combined with all the other stuff in this thread, then I think you might just not like TV as a medium anymore.
Anyone have a good explanation on 'Frame Time'? This is the first time I've heard of this term and after some quick googling I feel like I'm not understanding why it's worth caring about.
Having maintained Linux systems for over a decade, I instantly distrust anyone who claims they understand Linux regardless of what they say next.
It's a spambot, just wants you to look at the image from hexbear, some weird meme they came up with. Wish we had a report user option, moderation and anti-spam is still a bit primitive.
The UPS here just gives you a computer to look at, it's not super secured or anything special here, if you can get it connected, you can print on it.
I know Firefox is the popular option here, but do we have any serious non-google managed Chromium based browser options out there that don't have some weird gimmick?
They did also kill hangouts... and pretty much every other messaging platform they've ever created, sometimes just for kicks. It might be incompetence as opposed to anything malicious there.
Toxic/Radioactive waste is obviously toxic and radioactive, but how bad that really is is kind of overblown especially if you compare it to the harm caused by popular existing methods like coal/etc. When adjusted based on energy produced, there's more than one study out there showing how Nuclear is significantly safer than coal by a very wide margin. Coal ash is also radioactive and coal plants have very limited requirements to prevent it from escaping to the environment.
Even 'Radioactive Waste' really only feels scary because all of the bad stuff is condensed into a much smaller package when you adjust based on energy produced again.
