Thanks for the lesson in semantics, but it doesn't address my point in the slightest. Sort of ironic I guess.

you have to understand how sparely populated Palistine was in the 1920s

So if there's land that is not immediately occupied, that means it's finders keepers?

It's very Russian

See that's the kind of stuff the person you replied to was referencing. It couldn't be that a fellow American on the left has a different opinion than you do, oh no, that would mean that maybe there's some cause to question your own convictions. No, of course not, it must be a Russian shill.

I admit I was a fool for trying to communicate with someone so willing to put words in other's mouths. I should know better.

Tell you what, you let me know when the US ships weapons to China that help them commit the genocide, gives China gobs of "aid money," and repeatedly provides cover for China at the UN. Because until then, the US won't be treating China the way it's treating Israel. Yes, both are bad. One shows far more complicity than the other.

My God, you are just completely insufferable. Serves me right for engaging with you.

Hamas is not the same as Palestine. Israel is committing genocide on Palestinians. There is a difference between America allowing Chinese goods and industry in America and America directly providing military aid that Israel is using to commit genocide on Palestinians. And your conflating Palestinians and Hamas is ridiculously ignorant at best, and intentional at worst.

I'm not moving any goalposts. Your entire argument assumes that the US is providing military aid to China, knowing that said aid is used to commit genocide. They aren't.

Your use of the term "Hamas Muslims," however, is very telling.

Progressives aren't asking the Dems to commit to even trying to stop the genocide. Progressives are asking Dems to stop actively facilitating and arguably participating in it.

Maybe because that population could win Michigan for Harris.

Biden is a committed zionist, and has been for his entire career. Yes, to a certain extent politicians are malleable. That does not mean they will automatically bend their personal beliefs to the will of the voters. You can see this in action right now, since most Democrat voters support conditioning aid to Israel and Biden refuses to do so.

More fundamentally, you need to reconsider the idea of voting for a politician and then expecting them to do what you want when they have made no indication that they will. At that point, you've lost significant leverage.

Who the hell are they supposed to vote for here? Both candidates have committed to continuing to help Israel commit genocide. The Dems refuse to do anything meaningful to motivate young people to vote, then complain that young people don't vote and blame them for lost races. The Republicans sure as shit won't do anything for young people regardless of the circumstances.

Notice that the schools, hospitals, residential blocks, etc in Lebanon are attacked without even a modicum of pretense. The justifications for bombing hospitals last year were clearly half-assed and false, but now they don't even bother to give them.

Making genocidal statements isn't the same thing as committing a genocide, ya dingus.
