Pro-Palestine rally: Cease genocide and follow international law

Pro-Israel rally: Kill all Palestinians

You know, I can kind of see why this is tricky for so many.

I also wonder what all these folks think their own reaction would be if people from half a world away came over, colonized us, stuck us in an open air prison and then treated us as horrifically as the Palestinians have been treated. Aren't there literally movies and games about America being invaded and the invaders treated as the bad guys?

Seriously, I would love for all anti-Palestine reporters to be asked point blank what they would do if they endured what the Palestinians had to endure.

What is more scary to me than some people fighting halfway across the world is how quickly people get so worked up over it. There are 14 other conflicts happening throughout the world that are similar in scale but you never hear about them because they are relatively poor countries. Humans have fought each other all throughout our history. Guess what? It still happens. It is quite simply decades of propaganda that causes such an intense reaction to an event like this. People only care about this because the people in charge of their media bubbles want them to care about it.

Yes, Hamas did a bad thing. No one is denying that. But take a step back and look at the context of the past 20 years. Israel has done many bad things to Palestine over the past years. Israel has killed ~10k+ Palestinians in the past 20 years vs the ~1k the Israelis that Palestinians have killed.

It is not surprising that pissed off enough Palestinians to convince them to do something about it. It is only surprising if you are only seeing tiny snippets of the big picture fed to you by one of the parties supporting the conflict.

Israel has been conducting a multi generational cleansing campaign. We not even half way through it.

Virtue signaling.

If you don't support the only existing material force fighting for Palestinians, you don't support Palestinian rights. We can't idealistically pray for some magic solution to Israeli occupation. We have to live in the material world, where resistance are messy and people are imperfect.

So, much like her socialism, these words are all an act to sheepdog radicals into the Democratic Party. That's her job.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Several people at a pro-Israel protest in New York City called for the Gaza Strip to be "flattened" and for genocide against Palestinians, according to a viral video.

"At a Pro-Israel protest in New York City, Zionist activists spoke with me and explicitly called for Arab/ Palestinian genocide," reporter Jeremy Loffredo wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, alongside the video on Tuesday.

Israel has also stopped the entry of food, fuel and medicine into Gaza, a tiny territory of 2.3 million people—half of them children.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday said what Israel "will do to our enemies in the coming days will reverberate with them for generations."

A second man at the protest is seen holding up a phone with photos showing what Gaza looks like today and another portraying the area flattened.

The demonstration in support of Palestinians was condemned by Democratic New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who described it as "abhorrent and morally repugnant."

The original article contains 629 words, the summary contains 161 words. Saved 74%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!

There is blame on both sides here. What HAMAS did was abhorrent, egregious war crimes. They should be brought to justice. But we have ignored the war crimes Israel has committed consistently for years now. Two wrongs do not make a right.

It also needs to be recognised that HAMAS have done this to prevent closer ties. They did not like how SA were in talks with Israel. Without conflict HAMAS has no reason to be here. Any actions Israel take need to understand that this would be playing straight to the outcome HAMAS wants. HAMAS are showing they are nothing more than a group of gangsters, who depend on the conflict to keep themselves in power.

Palestine needs a two state solution. One that does not involve in one nation subjugating the other. Israel needs its security. The UN needs to step up and start playing a role in this. We cannot continue to resort to wars to resolve differences.
