In the recent Lemmy developer update, there's a reference to one Lemmy developer, SleeplessOne1917.

I found some horrifying comments from this user.

https://lemmygrad.ml/comment/2649200 - "There is no such thing as an Israeli civilian. All settlers are valid targets."

https://lemmygrad.ml/comment/2649472 - "15 year olds are military age. That makes them valid targets for killing."

https://lemmygrad.ml/comment/2649732 - "... There is no such thing as a zionoid civilian. Everything that moves and isn’t Palestinian is a valid target. ..."

That's basically the stance of the Israeli government. They love killing Palestinian teenagers

OK, so they're a fucked up fool.

Sadly though, I'm pretty sure I could extend that judgement to a lot of people whose products/services I use, it's simply impossible to go through life only using products and services who's owners/developers have values, beliefs and opinions that match your own.

The best 'revenge' (if that's the right word) is to use their stuff for activities that counteract their shitty opinions.

Yup, that's fucked up. We can separate the politics from the coder, who is giving us a great product.

Cry more. Israelis need to be eliminated. Death to Israel, and death to Amerikkka!

Unlimited death to the first world and All her allies

@[email protected] is not @[email protected].

Even if it was, there's over 100 contributors to Lemmy, contributing for free, with no benefit to themselves.

The lemmy.ml account is an imposter. I used to have a lemmy.ml account, but it got banned when I told a person who was supporting settler colonialism that I hoped they got scalped and had their house burnt down.

Right, but going by the account that commented under the dev post, the first is the one we're talking about. The second account exists, but hasn't made any posts or comments at all.

Meanwhile everyone is rooting for precisely the same from Isreal but it's OK for them because.......... Reasons?

Uncritical support for the Lemmy development team.

If you go to the profile, the handle is @CannotSleep420. Why is it different to the username? I didn't even know that's a thing.

Lemmy has separate usernames and display names.

I see. So do we have any evidence at all that this is even the same person?

Assuming that the account mentioned in the linked dev update post is the one that commented underneath it, you can see it for yourself. Go to the dev update post, go to the account page, and scroll back through the comments until you see the ones OP is talking about.

To be clear, this is the part I'm asking about.
