Sure is funny how everything the far right #GOP does benefits #Putin.

there is concern in Kyiv that Ukraine has become a tool of US domestic politics.

lmao

Their staunchest military ally suddenly looks unreliable

damn they should have cracked open a history book to see how the US has abused every proxy war nation they have ever pumped money into. It's not like it's a rare occurrence. Are they going to be totally blindsided by the IMF loan conditions as well?

Every recipient of a US proxy war aid likes to think that they're an exception to the norm.

Why is there always someone named McCarthy involved in US foreign affairs

[–] [email protected] 12 points 11 months ago

Yeah? The republicans always do this. They hold the budget hostage to get what they want. No doubt there's a line of Russian oligarchs ready to line republican pockets with special interests money.

Because historically speaking republicans LOOOOOVE to feed their military industrial complex with money. In this case, there money goes directly to politicians, so it basically shows once more that the pubs can be bought.

Was McCarthy pro lethal aid or against it?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 11 months ago

Who knows... He was simply to weak -no wonder after that shitshow to even get the job- to not do anything a small minority of the GOP demanded. And the moment he showed to smallest bit of sense and doing actual politics (by looking for deal to keep the US running) he was removed by the same.

Ah yes, because Politico must be Kremlin propaganda.

Op is a tankie that pushes these kinds of articles. Just and FYI.

It is literally a politico article.

Politico literally published an article this week about "how not all Waffen SS are bad, really" in defense of the Ukrainian war and Canada's attempt to honor the war by celebrating a "Ukrainian nationalist that fought against Russia during WW2" that ended up being a Nazi whose unit during the time he served has been proven to be involved with war crimes.

You don't get more all in for the Ukrainian war than Politico.

Ukraine is absolutely freaking out. The US is supplying the vast majority of weapons, we're also supplying the required money to fund their civil government. Ukraine not only can't win without US support, they can't even continue to fight for more than a couple of months (Honestly, probably even less) without US support.
