The struggle of many western countries is their old population. They need migration, without migration their economy collapse.
But their right-wing parties want to decide which migration is okay. Which is pure racism.
The entire immigration system, as in the modern apparatus that accepts or rejects people from coming here, of the US goes back to the Chinese Exclusion Act. If you read that act it basically outlines that we would only accept lots of immigrants from white countries, excluding Italians or Jewish people from anywhere. As well as that we would only accept white immigrants from any primarily non-white countries. That was the design of the entire system until the civil rights era threw that kind of garbage out.
This is one of those moments where “make america great again” clearly and explicitly means “go back to when we were a eugenicist white supremacist nation”. But you have to know the history they dont want you to know to see that in full detail
Yea, American immigration laws have been explicitly racist for the majority of our history. It is only in the last 50-60 years that they have been more low key racist.
"Racism" against afrikaners, that's rich. A people whose entire history is about how goddamn racist they are. If only the lies about stripping their land from them were true, it's the least they deserve.
Finally, rejoice! We can all breath a sigh of relief that these new immigrants will fill those empty jobs nobody wants, like meat packing, picking fruit and working on the farms. /s
