I really loved stalker 2 but between the blood suckers that take 4 mags to kill, and crashes and corrupted save files. I had enough and I'm back to playing anomaly. anyone else?

No not really. Played a lot of GANMA and Anomaly throughout the years so Stalker2 is something new.

I got annoyed when they sent me to the swamps to turn off some psy antennas. Felt like too much distance between each antenna, psy storms would happen very often and there wasn't anything to hide in to wait out the storm. Managed to get that last antenna off and now the objective is another long walk across the map, right through an area crawling with bloodsuckers. I'm fine with the long walks, I know fast travel is available for certain points on the map and I use it when I can. But man, I just can't comprehend why bloodsuckers are everywhere in this game and why they take so much ammo to take down. Dropped the game and have been playing the mass effect trilogy

Not really, though I can understand your point of view. I went into STALKER 2 fully aware that it wasn't Anomaly, and I was able to enjoy it for what it is (despite needing to use console commands on three separate occasions to progress past hard-locking bugs). I finished it probably a month after release so don't know its current state.

I was sufficiently engaged in the story and the presentation to definitely want to finish the game, and I enjoyed the new map and the blend of new and familiar locations. After spending so much time with the originals and the Anomaly map it was great to get a fix of more new content with the same vibe - some of the underground lab locations managed to hit classic STALKER vibes for me and kept me going to the end.

If I were to boot up some STALKER right now I might go for Anomaly over another run of S2 though, and that will probably continue to be the case until the DLC drops.

Haven't heard of this game and can't find it on Steam. Got a link?

Stalker Anomaly is available to download for free on moddb.com, and its actually a modded version of the original games. but GSC has allowed them to redistribute the game for free.

Just look it up on moddb.com

Ah, it's a mod. Gotcha, thanks

Well, yes, but not really. It's a stand-alone mod. You download it, you un-zip it and you run it.

Me talking about my peepee.

Waiting for the moders to give S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 the Anomaly treatment. Anomaly 2, perhaps?

Heavily doubt. They probably will port S2 stuff onto Anomaly instead
