I directly noticed that the background color got brighter and looked in this community to see whether a post like this got published. I mean, congrats on the new update I guess but I liked the darker dark mode more π

I can't wait! We'll finally get to do a real world test for the parallel sending features!! And if all goes well I'll get to save 5 Euro a month!
Thanks LW
Good luck admins! And thanks for doing it during the Carabao cup final so I have something else to occupy my time while lemmy.world is down :)
Hopefully this will improve the sync/federation process between LW and other instances, especially those further away geographically :)
Thanks!
A whole hour of nice and quiet on the Lemmyverse? π

Hey, do you think you can add the running version of the instance on the column that is on the right side of the lemmy.world website?
It's a bit of a shame we don't see any significant new features in this release. Piefed seems to be developing at a much faster pace compared to Lemmy, which is a bit embarrassing tbh.
considering that we're coming from 0.19.3, this does still introduce quite a few bigger changes for LW.

I'm not a dev/programmer, but does the version number starting with a zero suggest that Lemmy is still in a pre-release state? Like alpha or beta or something? If so, what needs to happen before it gets to version 1.0? Just curious! From my layperson's perspective, Lemmy runs great and I have no complaints about it, so I'm not sure what v.1.0 would look like. Or maybe it's all internal stuff that I'll never notice anyway?
MAME (Arcade and various consoles/computers emulator) is at version 0.275 and it's been developed since 1996. π
Wow π
You are right.
After 0.19.9 is said to be "1.0"
Oh cool! Thank you π
Good luck!
Looking forward to the webUI supporting defined thumbnails per post.
Nice!
I am looking way forward to posting images with alt text! They brought that in for 0.19.4 and it's the one thing that I've been really feeling the lack of on here since the start.
Exciting!
