One issue i have with peertube is that I have peertube app and account but if i click on any link it doesnt open the app, just the website w me logged out. So then i just open the app and search the title of the video and it can’t find it either. Like i did for this video. That makes it hard to subscribe to people. I would definitely use it more if those things happened

Can you try again? I updated the link to pull from the main site and not a federated one.

Edited my comment to add more info. I’m talking in general

Not really fixable unfortunately as both iOS and Android make a big assumption that an app is tied to a company with a well defined set of URLs it can handle. And it needs to know by the URL as well, not what it points to.

It has no way of knowing it belongs to a fediverse app until it's already opened it up in the browser.

Using Voyager, the app has like a thousand (idk how many but a lot) of domains registered, so basically any lemmy link out there take me to the Voyager app.

I would assume the same could be done with peertube app

It's my 1st time hearing about it...

I love the idea of PeerTube, but sometimes I get frustrated with the performance.

Dropped the link for this into grayjay and it worked great. Though as others point out direct launching from links on mobile is a hard fix. I buy into the idea that more creators is the primary issue. I have 320 subscriptions and only one has a peertube instance. Admittedly discovery is a problem too and I can't be certain I'm not missing one without searching.
