Given the sensitive nature of certain information and the presence of matter recyclers, extra PADDs lying about seems to be an unintended consequence.
Also, Sisko looks like he's taking part in an infomercial.
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

It really shatters the illusion to see the insides. That second picture does NOT look like it's technology from hundreds of years in the future!
Where did the soda go?
Indeed. Brings back some decent memories.
I imagine a dozen ensigns from all over the station converged on Sisko's office at the same time with different terrible reports to hand him. First on the list: The wifi is down.
Considering it's DS9, the first report will likely be "the replicators stopped working... Again... For the third time in the last 24 hours..."
I can't hold all the ~~oranges~~PADDs
Tried to find the SNL Jim Bruer infomercial bit, but it seems to have disappeared like so many relics.
Frankly, the less Jim Brewer, the better.
He was kinda funny in Half Baked, passable at best in SNL. But especially COVID and after, I saw some of his standup and he is beyond insufferable
He’s been pretty terrible for longer than that. Half Baked was probably the last decent thing he did.
Fair, just needed it for the comparison.
If iPads were free you’d probably have a few lying around.
I count five paper notepads on my kitchen counter.
I've mentioned this in the past, but my little head canon is that many of these PADDs are one-time use read-only devices meant to not send, receive or modify the data in any way, and to eventually be matter-recycled.
In defense of Jennie, it is valuable to have physical access to multiple documents at once. Even with a three monitor setup, I find having physical paper is helpful when dealing with multiple documents I have to read together to synthesize a new document.
