MANILA, Philippines — A panel in the Senate has finally approved a consolidated measure that provides for an absolute divorce in the Philippines.

Instituting divorce is part of Senate Bill No. 2443, which aims to expand the grounds for the dissolution of marriage.

Is this Padilla or Hontiveros' version of the bill? Googling Bill 2443 pulls out all sorts of bills, none of which are about divorce.

Edit: Based from the article, it looks like a consolidated bill by Risa with Padilla and Tulfo being co-authors.

Yeah your right I can't find the said bill also. I guess this is still new based from the lacking number of articles aside from inquirer. There is probably no available online copy yet.

Edit: Started to suspect this is fake. But it seems another news agency has an article about it.
