There's a lot of clients for lemmy but I feel they are pretty much all very similar.

Any special reason one should switch?

If what you're currently using fits your needs there's no reason to switch. The fediverse is all about having options so it's great to see so many clients.

Many clients are FOSS so in that case the choice also depends on the "belonging to the community".

If on the other side you have already paid to use some non-free app, obviously I wouldn't advise switching to not lose your investment.

In any case, since on Lemmy most data is synchronized with your account (subscriptions, bookmarks, votes, read items, etc.) you can use multiple apps at the same time without losing your data. I think I have 10 clients installed and periodically check the new features that are being added here and there.
