Russia is currently pushing out its surveillance in every direction. It's not breaching other countries airspace at this time, just pushing its limits. That's what happened here. That's what's been going on in the Aleutian Islands.

Edit: Nevermind, they've started breaching Japan's airspace.

To shoot down Russian jets violating your airspace?

Yeah, me too...

yeah I feel the very moment they cross the line you have to launch given the way russia acts. Not doing so is basically asking for further encroachment. Same with china really.

That can go both ways. On the one hand you really don't want to start WW3 as that would be very bad for a lot of people. On the other hand, you don't want to let them bully you.

What really concerns me is the terrible state of cybersecurity. Russia could damage many countries including the US. Imagine if they poisoned the water supply or caused a natural gas explosion. They also could knock out private industries that the world relies on.

I don't get why any critical infrastructure connects to the general internet.

~~Thomas~~ the local engineer is upset

Seriously though some of the "attacks" are just some kid who figured out that they could connect to the local water station. They just see the scata interface and go to town.
