Will the FBI knock on his door like they did Kathy Griffin?

No, threatening Democrats is okay.

Especially if you're mega rich.

Good point, if you're not you're more likely to not get away with it.

No, Elon, it wasn't the medium that was at fault. You just have an awful sense of humor.

"Oh it was really funny in the conversation, you just had to be there to appreciate the context." No, it wasn't though. This isn't about the "no place for political violence" schtick either, it just wasn't a good joke.

Lots of people are able to be funny on Twitter. Or, they have been in the past.

Or...he wasn't trying to be funny, but was trying to induce an assassination attempt aimed at Biden or Harris, and hiding behind a fig leaf of "humor" to avoid prosecution.

No, it's everyone else who is wrong!

Pretty telling that he thinks the people he pays to kiss his ass are a great test audience for shitty "jokes"

Is this what we're doing now, writing and deleting treasonous shit?

Why aren't they actually hitting Trump? Why not try harder?

*I'll delete this tomorrow and say it's a joke.

“Well, one lesson I’ve learned is that just because I say something to a group and they laugh doesn’t mean it’s going to be all that hilarious as a post on X,” he said in a follow-up post early Monday. “Turns out that jokes are WAY less funny if people don’t know the context and the delivery is plain text."

I knew people like this in real life, who'd say something horrible and follow it up with "It's just a joke," but only if they 'lose' and are called out on it.

They're slimey jerks, and it's utterly miserable to even be around them. And I don't understand why so many would worship/follow Elon and dwell on Twitter for it.

Just like my sister and "Not to be mean or anything but..."

You know that next words out of her mouth are going to be mean.
