micromobility - Ebikes, scooters, longboards: Whatever floats your goat, this is micromobility
Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, longboards, eboards, motorcycles, skates, unicycles: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:
Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.
Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.
Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
Glad you were able to fix it before it put you in the hospital. Broken bones suck!
Do you have any examples of what it should be like? I have a feeling what I am visualizing in my head is wrong.
Yes, the thing that connects the metal fender to the forks should have something that breaks instead of staying connected. Sheldon Brown highlights them here: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/fenders.html
I should have known sheldon brown had the info. I didn't know about these though, thanks.
Glad to help, Sheldon Brown is great!
For what it's worth, it looks like they might actually be doing something finally. They just started posting on their subreddit again and when I told them about my crash they asked for a case number.
I guess we'll see, but so far, I doubt my next bike will be from them.
