The 14-year-old suspect in the fatal mass shooting at a Winder, Georgia, high school will be booked Wednesday night, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey said at an evening news conference.

The deceased victims were 14-year-old Mason Schermerhorn, 14-year-old Christian Angulo, and Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53, according to Hosey. The school’s website shows the two adults were both math teachers and Aspinwall was also an assistant football coach.

Gray is a student at Apalachee High School and will be handled as an adult as he moves through the court system, Hosey said at an earlier news conference.

They’d rather execute a child than give up their guns.

What about his parents? Will they be booked too?

Surprisingly, yes:

After Son made shooting threats online, Dad was notified, but still decided to give Son an AR-15 for Christmas a few months later.

Knowingly giving a gun to a minor who’s made threats makes it hard to pass it off as a “normal” case of failing to securely store guns. Sounds like a similar situation to the Crumbley family where they decided their disturbed teen needed guns not therapy.

Nope. Georgia ranks like 47th in the nation for gun laws.

Edit:

I stand corrected! The stupid fuck bought his son an AR-15 for Christmas and they will attempt to nail his ass to a cell wall.

Is there a good way to block stories about a specific event? I’m already having a bad day and hearing about something that will never stop is making it worse.

I'd get a book or something and get off the internet were I you. It's good to take a break either way, sometimes.

Some Lemmy apps have keyword filtering that you could probably utilize.

Thanks that helps but being able to hide specific items from the feed on my browser would be nice.
