8. Misinformation is prohibited.


Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.


9. No link shorteners.


The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.


10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

Mind you at that time, the UN was essentially just the League of Nations, some puppet states that were bribed and/or threatened, and the arab states who unanimously against it.

And by imposing the partition plan instead of holding a plebiscite, the UN overtly violated its own charter.

It strikes me that what we have here is basically the plot of Frankenstein, played out over 80 years of world history...

For all its faults, we haven't had a global thermal nuclear war yet. I credit the UN with part of that success. That is an amazing achievement given how much our species likes war and how we've had the capability for nuclear war for 80 years.
