If you liked Voyager, you will like Prodigy I would say. It is for the young (at heart).
They made more Voyager, it just also happens to have kids in it.
I think it's not bad, but it takes some getting over the hump like most Treks. The initial start is kinda childish but once the stakes are laid out and the adults show up, it takes off and is a really fun story over the two seasons.
I think it works pretty well at all ages.
Seconded, but I'm viewing it through the lens of watching it with my kids.
It's certainly a fantastic introduction to the franchise for children.
I've been really enjoying prodigy and wow season 2 really kicked it up a notch! Loving all the Janeway action. Lots of good Voyager characters too.
